Majestic Gum Trees

Majestic Gum Trees

After several heavy rain showers in the late August afternoon, the sun popped out for a short period and this west facing vista was just too good to pass by. The diverging lines of the rock wall and grass, lead the eye to the cloud formation and the subtle "hills" on the horizon, but of course, the dominant feature of the large eucalypts (gum trees) interupts the lines.

I took this photo with an Olympus Pen EP-3, using an Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 lens set at 14mm (28 mm equivalent in 35mm language!), exposure at 1/125 sec, f stop 4.5 and ISO 200. Wish I had a 12 mm!
