Farmhouse Ruins

The remains of an old stone farmhouse, probably destroyed by bushfires many years ago, sit on Branch Road by the You Yangs regional park.

The majestic gum tree in its "back yard" frames the scene and the late afternoon August sun light the wall of the farmhouse ruins with a warm glow.

I used exposure bracketing to take 3 shots, hand-held, and combined them for this HDR image.

Photo taken with an Olympus Pen EP-3, using an Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 set at 26mm (52 mm equivalent in 35mm language!), exposure bracket at ISO 200.
